Durametric or Auto Enginuity

Anyone have any practical comparison information? I'm looking at the AE with the Porsche enhancement.

Let's see, the tool costs $250, and the Porsche "enhancement" an additional $230. Meanwhile, the Durametric system sells for $287, and is still considered the best Porsche specific diagnostic system short of the PIWIS.

I went thru the same comparison that you're going thru and came up with the conclusion that JFP stated. The only advantage I saw with AE was the ability to buy other modules for different OEs. I think they still charge for updates whereas Durametric does not -- bought my Durametric a few years ago and no real complaints about it.

Regards,
paul...

Garage
I am looking as well .
but am seeing many advantages to the Professional Kit @ $735
just wondering if 2 friends splitting the cost would bring a bunch more to the table .
Or as one friend suggested . buy the pro kit and take a $50 donation when working with others vehicles that would be 8 resets or programings and the difference would be covered . 14 and I would have it for free
