convertible top isn't going down!
We finally had a good "top down" day today. I got in to my 2000, pulled up the parking brake, released the center latch, the windows dropped, I hit the switch, and NOTHING. No buzz, no click, nothing.
Of course, being a former Porsche parts manager, I panicked and started adding up the cost of all the parts that might have been. Then, I noticed that when I set the parking brake, the light on the dash didn't come on. Am I wrong to think it might be a micro switch on the hand brake lever? Now, How do I get to it??? and I don't recall if it's available separately. Any help???? Also, where is he relay for the top located?

So I went out to the car, and started to play with the parking brake lever. If I hold it just right, the dash light comes on, and the top works!!!!!
So know, is it a DIY job? and how do I get to it????

Safest way is to pull the center console.
I've done them without pulling the console all the way out but you still need to unbolt it. |
