unstable idle

Hi,
My MAF vent bad on 2000 Boxster. I purchased a new one from Pelican and installed it. Now my idle RPM is fluctuating. Disconnecting MAF or replacing it with the old one (apart from fault code) cures the problem. Any suggestions?

new maf reset

My suggestion is to reset your computer by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for at least 60 seconds. Next reconnect the terminal then turn ignition to the on position WITHOUT starting the car and leave on for one minute. Then switch off the key and leave off 10 seconds and then start the car. This should reset the problem.
