Remote key range on 08 boxster
 

The range for my remote key is just miserable, I basically have to stand right next to the driver door to lock or unlock the car, same for the trunk....is that normal? I replaced the battery in the key, but no improvement...can the range be extended/improved? As a related question, can you program the lock mechanism to chirp or beep if the doors are locked? My lights just flash twice for locked, once for unlocked, sometimes hard to see during the day.

I can't help with your questions, but my '08 has a pretty good range so something is going on with yours.
