Zeintop arrived. See it in Dayton OH Sat 5 Jan @ 10am
All,
I haven't been posting much, but I have received the first zeintop on the east coast. I actually got the top about a month ago but due to work and the holidays I did not have much time to sit down and write about it. To get to the point, it looks amazing and the US Zeintec rep is fantastic to work with. The quality of the top is extremely good and the paint match was perfect. I'm very happy with the product even though it is quite costly. I constantly have people comment on it and friends/coworkers keep asking me if I got a new car. Product details: http://www.zeintec-usa.com/index.html If you want to come check it out and are in the Southern OH area, I'll be at the following Starbucks on Sat 5 Jan. This location is near the Quaker Steak & Lube location in Dayton. I figure I'll show up about 10am and hang out for a while to let anyone who has been wanting to see one of these get a look. 3800 Colonel Glenn Highway Fairborn, OH 45324 937-320-9258 Let me know if you are interested or have any questions. I'll post pics as soon as I take them. I'm not affiliated with zeintech in any way other than being a customer.Pat |

I could take a "dirty" picture if you like.... I spent the day playing in the snow so she is a bit of a mess right now...
Feel free to bring your camera, actually, come to think of it, just about the only pics I really have of the car are the ones you took

What's funny is, with most of my Pcars, I have a digital collection of photos for each, including a file that says "Post Sale" where I keep pictures of the cars after they're gone!I know...I need help...

I really like the way the top looks...very factory in appearance. I t will be interesting to hear your comments after you live with it for a while.
I, for one, have no use for a hard top, because my car is fair weather driven only; but if I were in the market, this would be the one.

Hey I have some pics too! It was great to see Pat and to meet Bartman. It was quite chilly so most of the conversation was held inside the Starbucks, but we managed to walk around the Boxsters and get a good look at the top. Overall I'm very impressed. It's not quite "Porsche perfect", but it's a high quality top that looks great and works well.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are some comparo photos. I only wish I had my brother's Cayman S there for further comparison! ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally...nice butt...

Wow, that roof looks fabulous! It completely transforms the look of the car. Now if only the price would drop a bit...

All you need now is a new emblem for the decklid. The "986" gets kind of lost in all that space. How about a Boxster emblem with a nice stylish "Z" added ?
"Boxster Z" ....I like it.

It comes either blank or with the Zeintop logo. I ordered mine blank and added the 986. To each his own, I personally love the numbers on the back instead of the huge Boxster emblem.

Wow. I am VERY skeptical of aftermarket bodywork, but that looks amazing! It really is a 986 Cayman. Very nice.

Like so many others, I think the top looks absolutely fantastic, but I just can't bite off the $6500+ it would cost me to get one to Canada.
5000 + duty + customs + tax + spin locks +++ And then I'd need to buy winter tires and rims too! Norm 01 Boxster, 5 spd, Seal Grey |

If you drove across the border to get one, then drove back with it on, would anybody know?

Don't see it. I'd have to ship them home. Still, $5500 + exchange + the chances of having the lids damaged during shipment + the chances of having a eye-opening car confiscated on the way back for not reporting a large purchase and paying the taxes and duty? It's a good thing we have decent medical care here.
