electronic oil level failure ?
Electronic oil level indicator shows no-very low oil level after oil change and refill.
any other way to check oil level?

You did not state the car's year of model, but if you are absolutely sure the right amount of oil was put in, you need a new sender.

2005 Boxster-S, about 7.5 quarts, (as recommended in manual), on day of oil change it registered full.
Next day, today, indicates at lowest level on gauge, car has not been driven today. added 0.5 qt., show very slight rise in level, still below lowest indicator line. No oil under car, no leaks found. no new sounds from engine, sounds normal.
