987.1 - which aftermarket exhaust?

Ok, so this is a subjective subject. Looking at a 2005 Boxster. What exhaust systems are people installing for better sound and actual performance? On my old 911SC, adding SSI's and a Sport muffler was a great upgrade for sound and performance. I love the sound of the Akropovic, but insanely expensive. I also like the Fister exhaust modification, but I think that is sound only and no performance.

My brother-in-law just bought an '06 987.1 Boxster S - his dream car. He was just asking about improving the exhaust. I will be watching this thread to see what you all have to suggest. I don't think he wants to spend thousands, he is retired and on a fixed income now.

If you are in a budget I also tried the ebay's Chinese exhaust under 500 bucks.

It sounded really good idling, awesome WOT, great on tunnels.

Horrible, horrible cruising speeds Drone. I got headaches from that thing. Almost impossible to go on long trips.

IMHO get something of quality if you want to enjoy your car.

I would just pass on anything Chinese for a Porsche. That crap belongs on crap cars and even then I would question it.

After lots of looking, and if I go with the car, I think the Agency Power catback may be decent....
