I have a 99 boxster. The top mechanism is operating but the top will not seat or "park" enough to allow the clamshell to close completely. I had to replace the passenger side push rod ball since it was broken. Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks

Yes, most likely one of the cables has been damaged from the ball cup breakage. That is usually what happens. When opening the top you can usually see a difference in speed between the right and left sides. Another indicator is when closing the top, if one side contacts the windshield frame before the other side it probably has a bad cable. Always replace the cables as a pair.
