Mysterious Rumblings...

Greetings! My wife and I have a 2000 Boxter. About 75,000 miles now.

Recently I've noticed that in 2nd or 3rd gear, when I decelerate, there is an rumble throughout the car. My gut instinct would be some excess play in the tranny or linkage.

My question is: does anyone recognize this issue and just how serious is it?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Jeff

Have you replaced your front motor mount? I have experienced a vibration such as you describe and the fix was a new motor mount.
