The parking brake light does not illuminate, should I replace the parking brake switch?
Comments: I have a 97 Boxster. The convertible top has been working perfectly since I purchased the car 3 years ago, however, I went to put the top up yesterday and it did not work nor did I hear the motor operating as I normally would. I have replaced the fuse and tried the button again to no avail. Looking for some trouble shooting tips to follow... Yes, the convertible top relay needs to see that signal from the parking brake switch before it will run the motor. Let us know how it goes! It's on this page:
