When installing 987/997 engine on 986 boxster S do I need new ZF transmission too? Getrag 86/96 seems to have different flange.

I think it will still bolt up. I have not done that particular swap so I am not sure.

Then why there is no "swap" procedure for newer transmission? It would be nice, as inner parts are similar to Audi's. There is no 2nd/3rd gear problem there ...
