Noise in front end.

I have this noise in the front that isn't like bottoming out noise. It is more a rattle over bumps. I just replaced my sway bar bushings to no prevail. The car does not oscilliate when I push down on it. It does have just under 49k. Drives straight as an arrow. Do not feel the rattle in the steering wheel. Front end feels lighter than the front (not sure if normal, my car friend mentioned). Steering is tight. No funny noises when I turn the wheel each way. Could the radiator be loose.? I don't think the plastic undercarriage would make the noise. I took the spare out, same noise. Would bad strut mounts /bearings make a rattle?

Oh, car is a 2000 Box S.

Thanks.

I jacked the car up yesterday and tried move the tires putting my hands and 6 & 9oclock and 12 and 6 no play at all. I notice the rubber bump stop was missing chucks (pieces) on one side and I didn't see it on the other side. What effects would one expect if these were not there or defected?

Thanks,

David
