Best way to remove boxter emblem from trunk lid
Any suggestions? I guess held on by a adhesive, I am thinking heat gun.
Thanks, David |
Dental floss followed by a clay bar...

Hair dryer or heat gun or let it sit out in the sun for a couple hours and then dental floss - emblem will come right off. Then definitely clay bar and wax. If there is some fading which has taken place it will soon disappear as the car sits in the sun.

I would let it sit out in the sun before I tried a heat gun. There's a fine line between loosening the glue and bubbling the paint. It's a very fine line. It's measured in Angstroms...

Waxxed or Plain?

Floss worked. I then used some reducer and q tips to remove some of the glue. Worked fine. New Script is on. Not sure how the previous owner broke the B in boxster.
Thanks everyone |
