I have a 2001 Boxster. At about 70 mph it begins to rock from left to right. The rocking begins to get worse until I slow down or speed up. This seems to happen more often on a curve. It feels like I could easily lose control of the car. Mechanic thinks it 'might be' sway bars 3,000 to replace but he's not sure. Any ideas?

I would check if you have a bent wheel or bad tire. Then inspect the front end for loose components.
