refrigenrant line damaged by jack

Hi all,

I think I just damaged the refrigerant line. I jacked car up from the rear passenger side. When I was lowering the car down, the jack handle got caught by the concrete door step in my house and therefore the jack couldn't move outwards as the car went down. The jacking holding cup therefore moved away from the jack point and moved into the unsupported area. I then immediately heard the sound of gas leaking and I smelled something werid. The leaking lasted about half a min, the its gone. I think it must be the refrigerant.

Uploaded are the pictures I took after the damage. I rejacked up the car and took these pictures.

1. The plastic tray. Need to be replaced

2. Two hoses. They are slightly deformed, but they don't look like they will leak....I think they are for coolant. The best way to find out is probably to do a cooling system pressure test and see if there is any leak or drop of testing pressure. Correct me if I am wrong.

3. One hose is creased. I think this is the leaking one. There are two hoses going to the front of the car from the rear passenger side. This is one of them. I think the hose is creased but it is not ruptured. It is just the joint lost its seal because the hose is deformed. Now I need help on this. How to replace it and how to test it?

I guess you need to find the start and end of the lines. Probably your best option is going to be to find a replacement part at the junk yard. Once you get new ones in you will need to get a hold of a vacuum pump to dry the system out and then fill it back with new refrigerant.

Or you could just go without AC.
