I swapped 3.6 into 986S. Used the 996 rail with 986 hoses. Doing final checks and discoverEd injector leak at front left. All new O rings and general cleanup of injectors had been done. Pulled injector and swapped with another and it leaks too from the rail into top of injector. We have later 03 creme colored injectors vs yours with the green dome at tip. Any thoughts as to why only one would leak? We are replacing O rings Monday. Rail appears to be perfect.

Check if there is an old O-ring in the top of the fuel rail. Otherwise, confirm the fit is correct, they may be incompatible.

We've made sure nothing in rail. Went to oversized o rings. Still have a leak! Anybody got s used drivers side fuel rail they want to sell? Is it possible the tangs were bent and won't allow the injectors to fully sit seated in the rail openings?
