Cayman S/ 987 turn signal relay location
My front turn signals do not work, either with the turn signal switch or the 4-way flasher.
Both rear turn signals work, as do the front side marker blinkers. I am waiting on one of the turn signal bulbs to arrive, then I'll know if it's because the bulb is out, or the turn signal relay is out. But I suspect the turn signal relay at this point. The reason is that there is no power to the turn signal pin via the turn signal switch. I removed the headlights, and identified the turn signal pins with an ohm meter and a good bulb. Then checked the headlight pin socket, and no power. It's got to be the relay, right? I'm trying to find it and having no luck. I'll post a pic of it's location to this thread once I locate it. Thanks. |

Hard to believe the relay distinguishes between front and rear.
I'd suspect a wiring or bulb problem.

You nailed it, Sir.
I suspect both bulbs were bad, even though one of them ohmed out. ???? The bulbs finally arrived and I replaced both. At first, they didn't work. Turning the key off and on again resolved it, but I have no idea why. Now all signals work. But I STILL would like to find out the turn signal relay location. And I have the feeling that ordering spare bulbs in advance is going to be important on this car. |
