How is this possible - IMS removal without disassembly?
Curious to what the wrenches here have to say about the possibilty of this and long term viability

That's what I thought but if you check the sites, it has 911's and Cayman's from 2005 onward, hence the confusion.

Their ad for the tool is contrary to what FVD says here when they are advertising a single row ceramic bearing where they say:
"Some later 2005 vehicles have the updated M97 IMS bearing, which is not serviceable without the engine being removed. You will need to inspect the flange on these later models." I think their confusion should cast some serious doubt and you should check with others who have used these tools and parts. |
