How is this possible - IMS removal without disassembly?

Curious to what the wrenches here have to say about the possibilty of this and long term viability

FVD Brombacher Online Shop - FVD10590109 - Repair Tool Intermediate Shaft (IMS) - Tuning → Clutch → Cluch_Kit

From 1997 to 2005 model year, it is completely possible and done everyday. From 2006 to 2008 it is not possible due to the bearing being larger than the opening in the engine case, and with the start of the 9A1 engine, the IMS shaft was eliminated. So the ad flunks the proof reading test.........

That's what I thought but if you check the sites, it has 911's and Cayman's from 2005 onward, hence the confusion.

They might also be pushing the highly questionable in car machining of the late model IMS engines so that the opening is large enough to pull it.

Their ad for the tool is contrary to what FVD says here when they are advertising a single row ceramic bearing where they say:

"Some later 2005 vehicles have the updated M97 IMS bearing, which is not serviceable without the engine being removed. You will need to inspect the flange on these later models."

I think their confusion should cast some serious doubt and you should check with others who have used these tools and parts.
