Will a faulty crank position sensor throw a code? Engine doesn't seem to be getting ignition, only fuel. Starter cranks, no movement on tach, no codes on durametric.

If it fails during engine operation, usually. If it is a circuit issue, always.

It is very common for the crank position sensor to fail on these cars without throwing a code. When that occurs, the engine will spin over but not fire as the DME does not see the engine turning and does not turn on the fuel or ignition, and does not throw a code in the process, simply because nothing looks wrong to the DME.
