987.2 with 2.9 is an AGM battery necessary?

I think it's time for a new battery. I notice the Bosch AGM battery (Part #: S6588B-INT ) sold at pelican is over $400 where the regular one is about $260. My car is completely stock for the most part with manual heated seats. Any reason why I would need the AGM battery?

The last 2-3 times as long as flooded batteries, are more forgiving, and are sealed and there by maintenace and corrosion free. And stop shopping a pelican, their prices are ridiculous, you can do much better elsewhere..................

Thanks for the reply. I found an AGM size group 94R (the slightly wider version) at a local Autozone for $245. I think I'll go that route.
