valve clearance on Boxster

i recently replaced IMS bearing on my 2004 Boxster. while in the process is suspect my camshaft may have shifted. possibly my timing chain. before i put this all together and crank does anyone know if there’s zero valve clearance? i don’t want to crank engine and cause damage to valves.

thanks

These are interference engines; if yours has jumped cam timing (which should not have happened during an IMS retrofit), you run the risk of pistons hitting valves, or worse. As your engine should already be locked at TDC, you should be able to tell if the cam has moved by looking at the cam locking device that should have been installed as part of the IMS retrofit process. If it has jumped, you need to retime the cams before removing the TDC lock and rotating the engine.
