CAM timing
97 Boxster cams timed as manual instructs on 1-3, then when turning engine over the dots on gears or the timing chain DARK links never realign with the dots on gears, WHAT AM I missing ?? 4-6 cam not installed yet........thanks for any help

Did you turn the engine over twice? Remember that the cams turn an half engine speed.......

yes twice and then again
several times actually, process was followed exactly I thought..........number one held in place by tool, dots on gears would not go exactly straight up, slightly off, but dark links are in position as should be !!!, cams for cylinders 4-6 not installed yet. Just reread the how to on here and will redo the process again this AM, Hope I went to sleep some how on earlier attempt............thanks for the reply :-)
