P1130 and P1128 , Testing the AOS

2000 Boxster

I have CEL codes P1128 and P1130 I have read all of the threads regarding these errors. I removed my oil-filler cap and there is some vacuum noticed but I am not sure if it is ok to have some vacuum there and if so how much?

Is there a way for me to test the AOS, or do I have to replace it and hope it helps?

Thanks
Rick

You need a digital manometer that reads vacuum in inches of water:

Attach the manometer to the oil fill opening and start the car; if the vacuum reads over 5 inches of water, your AOS is done and needs to be replaced.
