Porshe Boxster 1997 2.5L has a problem with acceleration, when it reaches 3k RPM it starts to hesitate and engine begins to die, starts misfiring and it compensates little by little until it reaches 4,000 RPM. You can Smell bad gas odor when it happens.
Have done the following: 1-Change 4 O2 sensors Were very bad 2-Change Fuel Filter Was clogged with lots of sediment 3-Check and repair fuel level indicator and clean fuel pump strainner 4-Change spark plugs 5-Clean MAF Sensor 6-Change TPS Sensor 7-CHANGE THROTTLE BODY gASKET 8-cLEAN ALL 6 fUEL iNJECTORS Had a lot of Carbon 9-tEST fUEL pRESSURE AT iDLE AND WHILE ACCELERATING Test ok 10-Clean k&N air filter sTILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM , ENGINE BEGINS TO DIE WHEN PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR AND THE rpm REACHES 3k, YOU CAN HEARD THE pop pop OF THE MISFIRING, AND SMELL LIKE OLD GASOLINE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST. If popping, you either have a major air leak or a timing issue.
