Boxster shift gate suddenly sloppy
I have a 1997 Boxster that went from perfect shifting to very sloppy all at once. It is a manual transmission and the car is a standard Boxster, not an S model. Has anyone out there experienced the same or similar problem? Please contact me if you can help. Thank you for your time.

I had a similar experience with my 03. About 3 days later, the entire mechanism on top of the trans (where the cables connect) fell to pieces. Not too much fun...
