Need help diagnosing a 2001 Boxster S no start condition.
Reason: no spark, no injector pulse, no fuel pump.
Durametric says "open loop- speed sensor". Replaced flywheel speed sensor 3x [ one new] and no change, same error code. connections all look good. Put DME, immobilizer, key remote, in another Boxster and they started that car. Changed all relays connected with DME, ign. Fuel etc. Jumped fuel pump got fuel pressure but still no spark and injector pulse? Any ideas? To anyone talking the time to help. Thank You! |

I presume
you mean the crankshaft position sensor? So what else could be amiss there? The teeth on the flywheel that the CPS senses? The wiring?
|
Thanks Mike
So what else could be amiss there? The teeth on the flywheel that the CPS senses? I took a close look. Look clean and shaped like they should. The wiring? ya, thinking the same thing. Check out the complete CPS circuit. working on getting a clear wiring diagram from the CPS to the DME or control unit as Porsche likes to call it. And do an Ohm's check. Checking...... |
Where you able to find the problem? I am having the same issue, I have replace the crankshaft sensor, new fuel pump, sent the ECU/DME to ECU Repair they not find any problems. Car just cranks but will not start.

Did you solve the problem? I have the same issue. I have replace the crankshaft sensor, Fuel pump, sent the ECU/DME to ECU repair in Florida, it started on another car. So, the car just cranks but will start.

I thought the engine wire-ring was idiot prof. Most connectors only go where they are intended to go.
But no I mixed up the crank speed sensor and cam position sensor conections. I now have a running motor.... |
