What is the correct way to measure your calipers for replacements I was told that my slotted rotors needed to be replaced with 21,000 miles on them he felt from the center of the rotor to the outer edge and the outer edge had a groove going around the rotor is this the proper way to replace rotors thank you John happy Fourth of July love your website

Measure thickness is multiple places. rotor has to be thicker than Porsche minimum spec.

Check the top of the rotor for a lip. If you can feel a significant lip then probably replace. Also the grooves from the drilled holes is obvious wear. Look also for spider cracks from hole to hole. If any cracks connect to another hole, time to replace.
