Clogged or dripping fuel injecters ? Pour a can of injecter cleaner in gas tank then Chevron supreme or Shell Priemium gas. Should see some improvement after driving 100 miles.

Best way is to either install new injecters or have them cleaned & tested by a specialest. You will be amazed at the improvement especially at idle speed.

Winter fuel formulations have only 2-3% less power in them ... so what is drastically?

Checked the tire pressure? Any snow or rain recently?

What does "dropped drastically"? My 2001 Boxster S six speed gets about 15 mpg around town.

Everything wrong with my damn Boxster!

For reference my 2002 2.7 gets a pretty consistent 23 mpg over the last few months since I bought it. I wonder what OldBrit was getting?

gas mileage

I had a similar problem plus I was getting cat cel once in awhile. I put in "TECHRON" which I got at local auto store and it cleared up both. Back to normal gas mileage and I have not had a cat cel for over 8 months. I now put a bottle of Techron in about every three tanks.
