Boxster "spare tire"
Does the "Red" spare tire from an up to 04 Boxster fit the 09?

![]() that's an optional spare in a 997, will fit the same in a 987, you do need a jack, compressor and tools with it. Your biggest problem will be absolutely no place for your original wheel other than passenger seat maybe... otherwise you will have to leave your wheel behind...the folding tire has also only limited range and top speed...not very good option in my mind.

The wheel I am inquiring about is the skinny wheel/tire that is already inflated.
Will the older ones from an 04 Boxster fit an 09 Boxster?

It looks like the skinny wheel is a 105/95/17 tire, 17 x 3.5 rim ET19. That would make the overall tire diameter 24.84" , which would be ~1 inch smaller diameter than the tires on your car - which probably is not a good idea. part 996.362.130.01
It is a large enough wheel, as the 987 base car came with 17" wheels. So the answer is it most likely will fit, but not sure I would do it. Edit: Continental T135/80/17 from Tire Rack would give you an overall tire diameter of 25.5" Again, this is not a recommendation to do it.

The spare is for an EMERGENCY only...Hopefully I will NEVER even use it, certainly not drive more than a few miles on it.

Sorry, I veered off into irrelevancy, yes the compact spare would probably fit your 09, I believe the bolt pattern is the same. And possible wheel sizes were 17,18,&19 inches. The only complication might be if the spare would clear the brake calipers.
