M030 suspension questions

Hi, all.
Planning to install the M030 suspension into my '99 in about two weeks. Good Friday should be a good day to set aside for this.
I am curious about the spring plates. There are 3mm and 6.5mm plates and I don't know which one I should use. The springs are only marked to indicate the spring rate and do not have a marking for the spring plate.
All the M030 parts are already on hand. Now I just need to order some soft parts and hardware. (bellows, bump stops, etc)
Also, if anyone can recommend any MUST replace items, that would be great. I'd like to have everything ready to go before I tear into the car.
I'll be taking it to the stealership for alignment when done.
Thanks!!

Here is what I did:

I don't remember exactly everything, but figure you are going to wreck at least 1 lower ball joint taking this apart, which means you need two lower control arms. I got those from Vertex, because they rebuild them with replaceable joints, unlike the ones from out host, which are completely new control arms.

Your drop links may be shot also. I replaced mine with new. And then you're going to realize that the wheel bearings need some work, and while you have it apart...

In short, it is difficult to predict what you may need. Stuff that could be bad probably is bad. Suspension is a wear item; we just get used to it incrementally.

I have the front wheels off the car right now. I think my front struts are wearing out, and I need to figure out what the strut length difference is between the stock Boxster and the M030 is. If I remember any more I will let you know.

Thanks. I'll look into those parts. I haven't started the work yet because it is just too damned cold to work in the garage. I need to finish the new top too! Right now I have a topless car and no weather to work on it or drive it anyway. I wish spring would get its act together so I can get into the garage and turn some wrenches. Then it's time to work on the bike....then some bits on the Cayenne...then everything else...ugh
