Porsche-specific shops

Does anyone know of any good Porsche repair or upgrade shops in Orange county? Seems like there are mostly hacks around here. I'll even travel a bit to find one.

Give ol' Bruce a try. He was recommended to me by a 924 driver and did the PPI on my Carrera. Seems like a straight up guy who really loves working on German cars.

Try checking out rennmech.com. I haven't personally tried them, but the next time my 951 needs work, I'm going to try out Tony's in South Gate. I tried Strictly German in Pasadena and their prices were good but work done was average (my cambelt had some problems after they did it and I had to go in and fix it myself).

I was impressed with Scott's Independent - http://www.scottsind.com/

A friend bought a 928 from an original owner. It had always been taken care of at Scott's. He met the owner with the car their and the 2 main guys there, went over the car on the rack with him, pluses and minuses. He ended up buying the car.

Friend of mine takes his 986 to Stuttgart Performance - www.stuttgartperformance.com

Andial has a great reputation.

I'm planning a road trip to SoCal in the near future. I'll keep Scott's Independent in mind, just in case. But if anyone knows of a good place closer to Irvine, please lmk. btw, I believe Andial is closing - not sure when.
