Arizona chat 7/28/2007

What is going on?

Is there anyone else out there?

I am 2 months away from a engine up!

See if anyone sees this. If not we can post a tread so others can see it and then perhaps the AZ pelicans can start to use it!

Mad Mike

Before...for sure. Just doing an AZ check.

Mike,

Hows it going? is the motor going back in? did you get the 3.6?

Mine is still over at the shop getting some new cam boxes and covers, all the hoses replaced and running before I get it back and finish up all the cockpit install.

I've been so busy I've hardly had time to think about it at all...

Jim,

I did get a 3.6 liter, non vario ram 993 Euro engine. 2% leak-down. I actually have had the engine for months now. Just in the accumulation of parts mode now getting everything together for the install.

Have:
New Yellowbird bumpers
Engine 3.6
Front mounted Strab diagonal flow oil cooler (needs to be installed)
New tow hooks and engine mount from Rennline.

Needs:
Clutch
Flywheel
Pressure plate
install DME, with new chip
Headers
Exhaust
Cam block of for power steering on the 993 engine.
Convert the engine tin.

And a few hundred other little things I can't think of right now.

At least the engine (big $) is in the garage.

Cheers,

Mike

The sheet metal/engine tin is a conversion of the old tin to fit on the new engine, with multiple "corrections", as the old didn't have a cam/power steering area, now needs to be addressed, etc.

thanks for the offer, but you are more than welcome to assist on the conversion. Might be able to keep up with you when we are done!
