3M epoxy/adhesive remover. i found what works best in a well ventilated area is brake parts cleaner. dries up fast and really melts the glue. heat gun on the tar floor and a bit at a time. then some brake cleaner to remove the residooo...

great day of progress! i slaved yesterday and removed the seam seal in the back floor pan area. i will remove it till under the seat brackets as the stuff up front is placed much cleaner. not all waving like the rear area. used jasco to melt that stuff and it scrapped out easier than other stuff id tried.

so today i am cooking my famous holiday sause so i dont want to get too dirty by finishing the last of the adhesive removal. photo attached...

after i got the sause off the ground as expected a fellow bird from the delta area stopped by and bought my old autro power rollbar. the 1st bit of cash to hit the cage save coffee can... about the time doug left JP calls and says he's got a pass out for a few hours and answering the call on 3* he heads this way from moraga. no short drive in this stormy day. he arrives by 3 and i become the drop light holder as he proceeds to rip my heating system out like he'd done it prior.... actually he had so i just stayed out of his way.

i had removed the knee gaurd, radio, and other interior heat ducting from the car earlier so after JP despensed the heat with lightening quick brilliance we moved inside. the heater controls, the after market alarm systen, and a bunch more stuff in a pile we were pretty thrilled with ourselves...

all along mind you i am stirring my spag sause and watching a friends dog for the weekend.....

gotta go sweety is here for pleasures of the flesh. will update as abble...

so now that sweety is gone i am back to finish the story. 1st off HUGE propers to JP for making the run down and helping out. not only did he drive the 40 miles from moraga he helped me in getting a bunch of stuff out and exposed enough of the wiring that i think i can do a reverse braid and sort through waht i will be removing back to the fuse box. the best part? he brought me a cupcake plate! this will go to good use tonite....

so the fact that we had accomplished so much and to this point i had not removed what was otherwise a nice headliner when JP suggested we skin her i could not resist.. it was tough tesring out a headliner that was in great shape but all in a track car build i guess. heres all that remains..

a shot of the cleaned up pan minus the seam seal.

and yes in the course of thanking the MAN JP i did sent him home with enough sause for a fine supper.

so today i moved all of my chips to the center of the table while undertaking the sunroof subroof cut out. it has been all fun & games til now in that i could run back under my mom's skirt and reglued & reinstall most all ive removed. but starting todat the swazall and cutting wheel came out to solidify my commitment, no turning back now...

this was the 1st oh S moment because in researching the top removal there was not much info and me being me there was no help in my posts looking for insight. so it started slow with the back area.

move to the front

still s-ing myself with every cut and calming neighbors that watched in amazment as i cut abart what they saw as a perfectly good car. if this does not earn me evil status i dont know what will
