The 3.6 makes it a treat. Looking forward to getting to the track in the Spring.

Was that the one listed on Kijiji in Toronto over the summer?

Yes, I picked up "Ruby" in Toronto in late Sept. I have since pulled the engine, tidied up the syncros in the tranny and did a general clean up. I didn't get it done in time to hit the track yet. I have been running an 84 with 3.2 ssi'd M&K 2 in 2 out and Steve Wong chip and having a blast. I could keep up with and sometimes pass all the M3's and Boxster S's with the 3.2. This rig "Ruby" feels like Satan's car. It's 2475 lbs and the 3.6 has been remapped and has straight headers into a 2in 2 out "crab" style muffler. I'm told it makes about 310hp. It sounds and feels very urgent. I am hoping to embarrass a few boys in their modern cars with all the ABS this and Stability Management that. I can't wait to hit our local track AMP and there is talk about a road trip to either Calabogie or Tremblant this summer.
I am also building a 68 SWB and I think Don might be a great guy to know based on his garage pic's. Oh yeah I have finished a great 356 as well. I have this sickness in a very bad way. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I remember that picture! Glad to see the car came to someone in our region. The guy you bought the car from in Toronto is the one who I bought my front spoiler from. Great guy.

I love that brake cleaner!
![]() That Wurth Brake Clean is the best stuff I've ever used for general degreasing / cleaning etc. I'm planning on using a couple cases tomorrow cleaning up the 930 case, camtowers and heads. AM

Anyhow, have a spare third gear on hand if you plan to hammer it on the track. New math: 3.6+915=$. |

New Math
That math gives me a little shiver. The single $ sign represents a small amount of money I hope. Oh yeah, the car also has the Rennshift kit in it just to make sure I get lots of leverage when I am hitting third. I hope I'm not in for expensive lessons on restraint.

Replacing third gear was cheap because I did it for free, twice, but the second issue was the fifth gear synchro.
Price out a new set of gears.... But I also got to drive Ruby once or twice. |

Ah, so that's where Ruby went! I'm a friend of James, whom you bought it from. I've driven that car, and it is indeed "satan's 911" - it's wickedly awesome! I considered buying it myself. Hope you enjoy it, and I'm glad to see it's in good hands!

Unfortunately my car doesn't get to sleep in my garage over the winter, so any pics of my garage right now would just be of our Honda Odyssey, covered in dirt and salt, with sludge and slush all over the floor
Every spring before the 911 comes home the garage floor gets a really thorough cleaning.
