What's everyone's car projects this spring?

Now that the snow is melting my thoughts turn to 911 projects. I've got a few this year and was wondering what everyone elses is.

- Top end rebuild; probably valves but she burning a little blue. Might do 964 cams at same time.
- Targa top rebuild - going to send to carsinc for full pampering package.
- While targa top is away I have the supplies to rebuild the seals for the targa to stop wind and water.
- My targa bar is looking a little sad, so I thought I would do a full take down and repaint.
- Need rear tires, a few to many spins at race city.

That's all I can think of but you know how it is; once you're in there...

Bob

Lets see for my 914 I'm building a 3.0 engine with 95mm Malhe RSR pistons, 40 webers and cams TBD

Might take me longer (an mo' money) then I hoped, so I might finish my bug first as I need less than $1k to finish it.

I just got in from a drive!
Not long. Not far. Got it up to temperature and up to highway speed.
It started right up and begged to be taken off the wheel dollies. Who am I to say no?

As far as projects go, I have some beautiful SSIs waiting to be installed and a two in one out muffler. Need the oil lines and some gaskets.
I have a set of H4s sitting on the shelf, but want to install relays and rewire before putting them in. A bunch of other stuff too......

Totally itching to drive my 930!

This week I'm installing factory front and rear sway bars since I removed the "too stiff" performance bars over a year ago. Change front rotors, install missing horn and window washer bottle, then sell the car so I can start building my turbo 993!

Put on the new SSI exhaust on the 911 along with the muffler I got from Don last March. Then drive it.

Finish fixing the shifter on the 914V8 and drive it.

Start the CW restoration on either the 71 914 or the 73 2L 914

In my spare time work on the 68 Impala SS convert

The List

Here is my list. We hit a deer this summer so everything else is a huge case of "while I'm in there"
-glass out repaint. driver fender, headlight and hood damaged by deer. Every other panel had either a little rust or wear and tear and black does not always blend well.
- all new seals 10% done
- replace lens in other H1 100% done
- new front signal boxes, lenses 50% done
- replace whale tail with duck (still looking for one that uses metal grill) 0% done
- repair the rust 0% done
- re-do the undercoating 0% done
- re-chrome door handles 30% done
- re-cover dash 30% done
- re-cover small pockets deleting speaker holes 30% done
- replace and re-cover door panel deleting speaker holes 30% done
- re-finish targa bar 0% done
- remove flag mirrors and put original back on 10% done
- replace front rubber suspension bushings (has 37 year old originals) 10% done
- got the a arms off - now looking for torsion bars and drivers side rear bracket
- replace rear rubber suspension bushings (has 37 year old originals) 10% done
- fit front sway bar with zirks (it squeaks like hell now) - 30% done
- fit rear sway bar 10%
- replace flapper boxes - 50% done
10% = I have the replacement part
30% = I have the replacement part and the original to be refurbed is off the car
50% = refurb done but not on the car
100%= back on car -Happy beer time!

I want to get this all done by end of May at latest as we want to go on some PCA WRR drives and as we all know the summers are short here.

Barry

My obsession with eliminating oil leaks had me pull the engine last fall. My main peeve are the leaks that drip onto the heat exchangers. Along with the oil seals and gaskets (including rear engine seal and MFI pulley seal), a new clutch will go in.
It should be complete within the next month.
Can't wait to take it for a drive!

Hello and responding to Adam White. Adam where are you located? I would like to connect with you and compare notes. I have a 73T with MFI and am located in Burlington. I am just completing a restoration and plan to have the car on the road some time in June.

Install the battery, check the tire pressures, change the oil, and go!

1. Wevo shift rod and precision coupler.
2. Rear main seal (this time with a Viton seal soaked in oil first, speedi-sleeve and CurilT sealant)
