thanks Gunter
I owned a 544 and 122 in Ontario and did all sports with them rally auto cross ice racing...They were still running well when I took them to the scrap dealer..rusty The roadster is made by Intermeccanica...2nd one I have owned plus a real 58 coupe...1600 super...very rusty. I will take the 944 on events. Do not want to offend the crowd with a non P car. |

I remember many tours over the last 10 years on both sides of the border meeting some very nice people. For this year’s CanAm, Charlie doesn’t want me to participate and I respect that, so, it really isn't necessary to send out poisonous emails; how cheap can you get.
In recent years, like some of you, I became concerned over the fact that a long line of Porsches attract too much attention; becoming somewhat boring but also dangerous. My suggestions to divide a large turn-out into smaller groups plus adopt a driving protocol was ignored. I really favor smaller groups with long tours mostly in the US for many obvious reasons; better roads, cheaper gas and Hotels plus lesser potential driving penalties. BC is simply too expensive for some spirited driving. ![]() Most of you know that I made a stupid mistake venting my anger about an ugly incident at last year’s CanAm here: Oregon Tour in May 2012 I still believe that nobody has the right to deliberately prevent safe passing but it was wrong for me to bring it up on the forum and I apologized but I’m surprised about the gang bashing that followed. If some of you had concerns about my driving style, I would’ve appreciated a private talk instead of becoming the target of pack-mentality after so many tours with most of you. I have many faults, make many mistakes but I’m very open to constructive criticism. Straight talk and adopting driving protocol years ago would’ve prevented a lot of friction and misunderstanding. Al and Scott were the only people having the decency to discuss the issue face to face last year. I value many good memories going way back to Dane’s monster runs out of Seattle and countless other tours, especially NE Oregon and UT/AZ. On to more drives but first a welcome escape from winter; 29 days of Aloha. ![]() ![]() Stay safe. ![]() ![]()

With the large number of participants, Al and I need to cap the group at the current numbers.
Should others be interested in joining us, we will have a wait list. Should any openings free up, it will be first come, first served. We trust this is acceptable to everyone. Thanks for your understanding.

Didn’t see Gigi but Shannon is at the front desk and long-time Scott Ulrich is still Manager.
What a beautiful and quiet place; #101 is right by the beach and one hears the waves all night long. ![]() We had been going to all the Islands for years since the 70’s; liked Napili Bay a lot and when one of the units came up for sale, we jumped on it. We also spend time with friends in Oahu; Hawaii is truly home away from home. ![]() ![]()

welllllllllllll............. CR*P
![]() for some reason I had June 22 in my head. my lovely wife pointed out to me that the drive is actually two weeks earlier. so, there's no way I can realistically get the 3.4 done, in the '67, de-bugged, and sorted in time. so, onto plan B fit the ragtop to my 'roadster'. easily do-able in time. I just plunked it on to see what I'm facing. what do you think?![]() ![]()
