By the end of 1977 all road signs were metric and all new cars had metric odometers and speedometers. there may have been some earlier though.

From distant memory Porsche's didn't come to Canada with the metric system until Canada adopted Metric. I think this was 1977 model year but not sure. My '72 911 had the English/US measurement for guages, speed etc.

The models imported prior to Metric conversion were "proper Canadian" models even though they may have had the other measuring system. The Canadian and US cars had many differences in standard equipment (the Canadian had more standard things).

My 69 has a metric speedo. Not knowing it's history past 24 years ago I don't know if it is a ROW car or not.

Thank you guys. Wow, I thought it was in the early '80. That shows that there's a lot of US 911 that came in Canada since 1977...

Your engine will tell; What is your engine Serial or Type #'s?
