Anyone got one of these -Quickjack

Looks pretty good for a small lift, I was considering a scissor lift, but it's a lot of space and you still need ramps.
This looks like a better mousetrap, and less money.

My only concern is with the fall prevention setup...

I have been waiting for the 5000xl. I was reading on another forum that it may not work on a 964 since the jack points are close to the tires. I have a 997 and a Macan but I really wanted it for my 964. Anyone have any experience.

I don't have any experience with these but I can tell you my scissor lift takes the wheels to chest height.

Seems to me a scissor lift would be easier, higher, and about the same price, if not cheaper. Maybe stronger, too. Those things don't look too confidence-inspiring to me.

Christien do you have to ramp up to get over the scissor lift? I looked at it as an option but with both cars in and wooden ramps I end up with one car up tight to the other. It looks like the Quickjack would allow me to keep it close to the wall unless I need to pull wheels on both sides. What kind of scissor lift?

The ramp can be as narrow as the wheel base so I'm not sure why would you "end up with one car up tight to the other"?

No idea, I don't have one. Sorry.

Now I am seeing commercial on it

I think there are a lot of advantages over the scissor; ramps, weight, working in the middle of the car, portability. Not to mention the price about a grand cheaper.

I am still waiting to see if they are CSA certified, then I will decide.

Anything from the 2 Post Car Lifts, 4 Post Car Lifts & more - LiftSuperstore (or their parent company Home) , located in Oakville ON, is CSA and UL approved power units built in the United States and ALI certified Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) - Automotive Lift Institute Don't expect that from stuff made in China.

I would take that with a grain of salt. Nothing on their website about any certifications.

Their parent company (Bendpack) does but that does not cover them as such.

From BendPack website:

Automotive lift models must be tested in accordance with the Program Procedural Guide and in accordance with the performance requirements of the American National Standard "Automotive Lifts - Safety Requirements for Construction, Testing, and Validation" ANSI/ALI ALCTV (current edition).

All motor operated automotive lift models must be listed by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), in accordance with ANSI/UL 201 entitled "American National Standard for Safety for Garage Equipment"; and for installation in Canada, in accordance with CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 68.

Agreed, I don't see them on the CSA or UL sites, so I emailed them to get information in writing

Take a look at the ez carlift, I have one and after a lot of searching it fit the bill for my situation, it is very sturdy, I have done quite a bit of maint using it and I store my car on it when not in use, completely portable and a clever design.

My buddy had one of those, ok for doing brakes. Anything else your still stooping or on a cart.

I'm spoiled I scored a 8 year old 2 post, fully certified, commercial AAMCO 7000lb, Made in USA, off of Kijiji several years ago for $1000. But I had the headroom, barely...the cylinders just touch the ceiling.

One thing I'll mention is all the chinese lifts I've seen is the thickness of the steel is no near what is on my certified lift. I'd say my lift is at least a half ton heavier than any chinese lift. I know my lift weighs way more than my 2250lb 914. Most chinese 2 post lifts I've seen have around a 1200lb shipping weight.
