I would like to correspond with anyone who has disassembled the CIS Bosch fuel distributor for a 4 cylinder Rabbit and successfully reassembled it. Why did you take it apart, what did you find, did you fix any leaks or resolve issues with fuel leaking out and air entering after a prolonged shutdown? How did you seal it at the midline?
See photos of my experiences with air (or vapor) replacing liquid gasoline. Takes 1/2 mile of driving to get it primed full of fuel again.
I've already replaced the fuel pump check valve several times to no avail.
