Spots???

"somewhere", either at home shop or when I took the car in for repairs, my paint ended up with spots that faded the paint. It is aubergene, so now has pink spots on it. I have tried 3M glaze, not strong enough. Meguires swirl remover takes it down with a lot of elbow grease. I am also trying Meguires scratch remover. Anyway, looks like I need something stronger. Any suggestions? I bought a power buffer, but am really a chicken to use it. Should I just take it to someone who knows what they are doing??
Thanks for any thoughts.

Hey Doug,
Take it to someone who knows what they are doing !!
You could do more harm than good. The products you speak of will remove paint and you do not want to remove any more than you have too. The buffer can burn paint if you do not know how to use it. Sounds like you got something nasty on your paint to fade it. I would run back by the shop and show it to them, it could easily have happened while in the shop, plus maybe they will cover the detailing.
Good luck!
Don

Yes doug, if you dont know how to use the buffer.,.,DONT USE IT on your fav cars. Take it to a pro who does know the right pressure and speed you use when using a buffer.

Side know. If you have an older, faded vehicel that needs to be painted, practice on that, so you can get a feel on how to use the buffer. It really isnt that hard to do, but you should practice, so you can get a better understanding. Once you do that, YOU can buff all of your own cars.
