My polish/wax regimen...

Here's my detailing regimen, in case you're interested...

1. Clay bar the paint (I used Clay Magic starter kit from Autopia (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/). The clay kit is here: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/awc-88256.html and it is $15 and will last for several car treatments…

2. Polish the freshly clay treated paint (I used Klasse All-In-One) http://www.autopia-carcare.com/kus-kla-10.html The polish is $20 and will last for at least 10 applications.

3. Wax the car after polishing it with a Carnauba-based wax. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/p21-127.html . The wax is $32 but will last several years

I never use soap when I wash the car, I just rinse the car and clean the paint with Meguiars Spray Detailer in-between washes. I use Vinylex on the vinyl parts (Murray’s carries this) and Lexol for leather parts (Murray’s carries it). I use Stoner’s spray cleaner (from Murray’s) to clean the glass, followed by RainX to keep water spots off the glass. I use Stoner’s (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/stn-91044.html) for the tires (from Murray’s).

I’m a “work smarter, not harder” kind of guy and these products give excellent results with minimal work effort.

I've modified my "regimen" slightly... I now use Rejex by CorrosionX instead of the final coat of P21S carnauba wax, it really makes the paint shine, rich and deep and bird crap, pine sap, etc... come right off, nothing sticks to that stuff!

Hi Art,
Where do you buy the Rejex around Michigan? I'd like to try some out.

Wayne,

I ordered Rejex online at www.corrosionX.com. The stuff is great and it really lasts! It's not very expensive, either and you've seen the results (Helga). We are headed down to Oxford, OH tomorrow for the weekend...
