Undercoating care

Am finishing a cosmetic restoration on a 71E targa with low original miles (45,000).

The original undercoating is in place, and completely intact. I want to "freshen" it....but not so that it looks like it's been redone...

Is there a thin rubberized "paint", or a product that acts like a thin paint to restore the underside?

There is some overspray, and cleaning that off means that I am degrading the undercoating at the same time...which I really don't want to do...so I'd rather go over what's there.

Thanks,
Eric
