Delivered 1/21/56 to dealer Kahrmann, Fulda, Germany. Color was white when delivered. In 1972, my dad purchased the car from a guy in New Philadelphia, OH. At that time, it was red and had a nice red shag carpet interior.
Now, she's a driver. Not at all pampered, and likely to be seen terrorizing the streets of La Jolla on any give day.
Red now. Originally white.
Recently re-spayed after someone backed into it while parked at the Bev Mo.
When my dad did a backyard restoration in 1972, my mom sewed a new interior. Carpets, seat covers, dash cover. All hand made by my mom.
Shasta 83mm pistons running about 9.5 c.r. with my A heads still in place. Tim Berardelli cam. Solex 40 P II-4 carbs (overkill).
741 gearbox, modified to work in the A mounts.
Stainless "Abarth" style muffler. Sound mean - I like it.
