History Bought from nephew of original owner in 1992. Car was purchased new in Charlottesville, VA, and had Ziebart rustproofing applied. Body tub is very free of rust. Floors clean and original. Started restoration project in 1994, removed glass and interior, replaced front fenders, did other minor body work, and repainted in 1995, then it sat for 20+ years. I worked on it sporadically starting in 2012, but finally got it back on the road in 2019, with still much interior and suspension work to do.
Update 2022: Interior refinished with Autos International carpet kit and leather seat covers for front comfort seats (decided to retain the comfort seats to keep the car somewhat original appearing).
Exterior GT Racing fiberglass front fenders. I also have a fiberglass rear ducktail lid for it. Otherwise, it looks stock. I want the classic look, but hiding a lot more muscle and handling. Repainted again in 2021 because I was having some other body work done. Terrible job (Tanner's Customs, in Longview WA), but at this point I'm just going to live with it. I want to drive the car, rather than work on fixing the paint.

Interior Original: brown leatherette with brown/tan carpets, and S gauges. Replaced carpet in 2019 with Autos International carpet set, and rebuilt seats in 2022 with Autos Intl. leather seat covers.

Performance Upgrades Single AGM side post battery in right front battery box. OE Brakes rebuilt with new seals and new Cu-Ni hard lines and SS braided hoses

Engine / Under the Hood 1979 SC Euro engine installed in 1994 with SSI heat exchangers and Bursch exhaust. A little too much drone, so I installed quieter half-stainless steel OE muffler. Engine problem in 2020: the scavenge pump did not keep up with the pressure pump and the case slowly filled with oil on one drive, eventually causing it to grind to a halt. Fortunately, did not do internal damage. Rebuilt the engine again in 2021, but used crank and rods from turbo engine to increase displacement to 3.2. Also used cast iron oil pump from turbo, which has greater durability and delivers more oil volume. Installed new Mahle Sport p/c's to raise CR to about 9.8-10:1. Installed Knight Racing M1 cam. Retained CIS fuel injection and stock Bosch CDI ignition. Should be close to 250 BHP.

Suspension Turbo tie-rods, bump-steer spacers, and Koni Sport shocks (set to softest setting) all around in 2021, Rebel Racing front bushings with 21mm T-bars in late 2022. I have RSR bushings and 26mm bars for the rear to install in 2023.

Wheels and Tires 16X7 Fuchs wheels front and rear, satin black powder coated. Car originally had Fuchs 15X6 factory optional wheels, but it had 15x7 rears when I bought it.
