History
Ran Le Mans three times. Share of European Championship in 1976. 2nd in class at Le Mans in 1976 .First in class at Zeltwig 6 hours ,1st at Andorra-Botella hill climb, 5th over all at Dijon, Imola and Hockenheim.For 1977 some highlights are a 2nd in class at Silverstone 6 hour with Haldi and Rienhold Joest driving, 2nd at Montseny hillclimb , 1st in class at Nurburgring 1000 with Haldi and Rienhold Joest,2nd in class at Paul Ricard 500 ,1st in class Brands Hatch 6 hour,3rd in class at Hockenheim. Car was sold to Central America in late 1978 . Many races in the Central American Championship of Makes and the Central American/Carribean Championship . 6th at the Mexico City Trans Am race in 1978 and 1st at the World Endurance Drivers Championship race in El Salvador with Don Whittignton driving to first place to clinch his World Endurance Drivers Championship title. IMSA 1980 to 1986 . Best finish 8th over all at Daytona 1981 and 5th in class at Sebring 12 hour in 1985 . Central American Champion and sponsored by Coca~Cola of Central America. During this time as the car was based out of Florida and flown back and forth between Florida and Central America. In 1988 and 1989 the car was sponsored by Shell and Dunlap in Central America. Car came back to the USA in November of 1989. Care has had a share of the 1976 European Championship , 1979 World Endurance Drivers Championship , The Central American Championship. Has been drivin by Tione Henzemans, Tim Schenken, Rolf Stommelen,Claude Haldi , Herbert Mueller, Rienhold Joest ,Angelo Pallavacini, "Jamsal", Barrientos , Kikos Fonseca ,Bill Whittington , Don Whittington and others.
