Compressing Piston on Front Caliper on 95 Ply Voy.
I am having some trouble getting the front break piston to go back in on my 95 Plymouth Voyager. I put a C-clamp on it and it will not budge. I don't think it is seized up because it looks like it moved out about an 1/8" while I was working on getting the old pads out. Is there a way to release the pressure so that it will go back in? I don't want to have to pull the whole caliper off and rebuild it but that may be the next option.

Try loosening the bleeder. You may have to bleed the brakes after that, but it should at least let you compress the piston.
Some brake pistons need to be rotated back into the caliper. I've found that more on rear pistons than fronts (of Honda products so far). Look for thick slots in the piston face where you would insert a tool to screw the piston in. I don't think that's likely, though, so try the bleeder. --DD

i got it. loosing up the bleeder did it along with a couple whacks of the hammer. not sure if it was misaligned a little or just seized up but once i hit it a couple times i was able to move it right in with the c-clamp.
I only drove it back and forth in the driveway a few times working the brakes. they seem to be ok and shouldn't have to do a full bleed. i live on top of a hill so once i get it on the road i'll know real quick if they are working good or not.
