Friend Looking for an Austin Healy ???

I realize this is kind of off topic but I have a friend looking for an MK3 3000 any idea where the search could begin aside from eBay ? There don't seem to be any pelican like forums for this car? I have been committed to 911s and 356s so unable to help!!

My Brother had a 1956 100-4. Very pretty car. I was twelve when he bought. It was very pretty in our driveway because that is where it stayed most of the time.

Try Bring a Trailer. From time to time they show listings posted by others.

Why pay $35K to $85K for one when there is a guy around here with an AH 3000 with a good, professional 289 conversion for $25K asking price on C.R. In the mid '60s I had a '56 100-4. I put a Corvette 283 in it. One of my really bad decisions in life.

I remember reading in one of my Porsche books that Dr Porsche was motivated to build the 911 to compete with the AH3000.

Not sure where else where he can look to find one other than Craigs List but I am lucky enough to own two of the most beautiful cars ever made! I didn't plan on them being the same color either!

UR a lucky guy Scot, beautiful cars....2nd biggest mistake I've ever made was selling my '59 100-6. Loved the 'lectric overdrive. Biggest mistake was selling the '62 XKE Roadster.

I didn't think of it as a bad decision, my neighbor did one at about the same time, in Anaheim, I bought it from him, about 64. small block chevy, I liked it. I don't remember where these pictures were taken.

I had a '61 and I too should have kept it. It was a wonderful car-had it for 17 years and it was trouble free with a great sound.

Too funny. A buddy of mine has one with a 289 Cobra engine in it. Must be a common "upgrade".

I know of one that may be available in Vancouver Canada. It was for sale a year or so ago. I don't know if it was ever sold but it looked great in the pictures I saw.
