I recently acquired this 911 in the Phoenix area. I am reaching out to the forum to see if anyone recognizes this car and can help me find some history. It is a 1978 with 67K miles on the clock. Original color is black but was resprayed in Mocha Black, cork or saddle interior, with dark headliner. It seems to have been well cared for as the engine shows evidence of a very recent rebuild plus some upgrade. Ie Chain tensions, pop-off valve, fan shroud and fan upgrade. Plus the interior is immaculate for the age. There are other details that support the mileage to be accurate. I believe it came out of East Texas or Arkansas where it suffered a right front fender and side impact; the car was sold at an auction in Texas in 2012, I suspect the accident was in late 2011 or 2012. If you know the previous owner or the car please contact me. I am trying to gather as much info as possible. I addressed some suspension issue from the accident and the car is now a solid driver, with a solid engine. I plan to use it for fun or trips on the weekends.
