Memorial Day Weekend

I'm trying to plan a road trip for Memorial Day Weekend and I'm curious if there's any Porsche shows or events happening. Or, if there's a nice place to visit that has some nice driving involved. I am planning to go to Door County in the fall and am looking forward to taking the car up there...anybody got any suggestions for Memorial Day?

Only 4 weeks til the 2007 edition of the Taj Kreuzers Speedfest. Last year more than $100,000.00 was raised for Dayton area charity and this year we expect bigger and better!

Saturday May 26 –Dayton Daily News and City of Kettering Mini Grand Prix
Watch as local businesses fighting for bragging rights on the twisty Lincoln Park road course! The Mini Indy is fun for spectators as well as participants. Grand Marshal is former Porsche factory racing driver, Vic Elford!

Sunday May 27 (Morning) – Taj Kreuzers Road Warrier Tour
This is a self guided 75 mile timed rally beginning at White-Allen Europeon Auto Group and ending at Kettering Lincoln Park. Deadline for registration is May 19!

Sunday May 27 (Afternoon) – Taj Kreuzers Speedfest Car Show
Ketterings’ Lincoln Park Boulevard will be closed off for a low key car show open to Porsches and all types of sports cars. Venue also includes: food court, vendor area, permanent restroom facilities, public shelters, children's activity area and more. Awards, trophies and closing ceremonies by 3PM.

Sunday May 27 (Evening) – An Evening with Vic Elford
The Taj Ma Garaj will host a special evening with racing legend Vic Elford. A multiple winner at the Nurburgring, Targa Florio, Sebring, Daytona and many International Rally’s driving for Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Chaparral; Vic is a fascinating story teller and true gentleman. Meet Vic personally while also enjoying the Taj Ma Garaj museum. Seating for this intimate evening will be very limited. Open bar and hors d' oeuvres will be served.

Monday May 28 - Memorial Day, MVSCC Autocross at The Nutter Center
Not for the weak of heart! Full on, hard nosed racing... SpeedFest style! Never been racing? Now's your chance! All makes and models accommodated (driver and spectators safety never compromised). Fully sanctioned insured and hosted by the Miami Valley Sports Car Club.
