    Hi Jeff,

I have a '72 911e that I want to give some updating love to. At the moment I am focusing on the suspension, tires first as it should be. The current tires are at least 25 years old. I want to go with a different (sportier) aspect ratio but would like to keep my original magnesium wheels. I've seen pictures of your narrow bodied Albert Blue '72 around and have seen that you track it so I am assuming that you have put some good thought into the suspension starting with tires. It also appears that you haven't lowered (and equally stiffened) the suspension to race car levels which I want to avoid.

My request of you is for the sizes of the tires that you are running as well as the size of the wheels. If you have any other suspension setup tips or must haves I would certainly welcome those as well. In particular, lower ride heights which you have found to give a good starting balance and avoid tire rub.

    Best Regards,

    John Benson

    Mornin' Jeff!

I've been curious...would it be possible to get into the R Gruppe? I had a great time with y'all there and would like to hang with the cool kids. It was a VERY influential trip! Great people and great cars...what could be better

"D" should actually be "E", leaving room for another choice before "actually figure it out". My vote would be for that missing choice - "all of the above"; i.e. "A" through "C". This tech forum really has gone to the dogs...

I posted the question about the transmission problem here:
    http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-964-993-technical-forum/422916-964-shift-problem.html

Want to start a pool to see how many responses I get from people who:

    a) didn't read the entire post before replying.
    b) immediately decided it was caused by whatever part they most recently replaced on their car.
    c) suggest that I should start by dropping the entire drive train.
    d) actually figure it out

I looked at the online parts diagram for the transmission, and that convinced me that if I have to remove more that a dozen fasteners to find/fix the problem, I am in over my head.
    Cheers,

    Jamil

    911 tweaks
    Hi Jeff,
I have seen several posts of your 911R replica on pelican...did you sell it to Europe recently?
Anyway, can I call you to discuss what you did to make that car and whet is involved to do so and any +/- comments you can share as I am very interested in making a long hood/ling wheel base 911 w/ tweaked motor,... as it will probably go with these kinds of projects.
If you are willing to let me bend your ear for a bit I would appreciate it a lot.
It is best if you email me direct at bobf@design-associates.us to give me your tel # and/or you can email a direct email address and we can go back and forth that way... easier for me to call you if you dont mind. My tel is 508 747 2314 if you wish.
    Thanks, Bob Fleming
